What I Do
If you have been struggling with the same difficulties for years, you may feel exhausted, frustrated, or wonder why nothing seems to change.
Perhaps you have already tried therapy but still find yourself caught in the same patterns.
I specialise in helping adults who feel stuck — whether you are struggling with trauma, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, relationship patterns, or long-term physical health conditions.
You don’t have to keep repeating the same struggles.
I believe that lasting change comes from developing a deeper understanding of yourself.
Together, we explore how your experiences have shaped your thoughts, emotions, body, and relationships.
By exploring the patterns beneath your experiences, including how your experiences, emotions, and body responses continue to shape your life, we can begin to create new ways of responding and relating to yourself and the world around you.
Evidence Based Approaches I draw on
-
Supporting the brain to process distressing or traumatic experiences so they no longer feel as overwhelming in the present.
-
Building skills to regulate emotions, manage distress, and strengthen relationships.
-
Exploring the stories you hold about yourself and creating space for new, more empowering perspectives.
-
Exploring how past experiences and unconscious patterns may be influencing your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and behaviours today.
-
Identifying unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour while developing practical strategies for change.
-
Exploring the emotional, cognitive, and interpersonal patterns that can contribute to difficulties with eating and self-worth.
-
Helping you explore ambivalence and strengthen your confidence and motivation for change, specifically in relation to addictive behaviours.
-
Understanding how your relationships, family, culture, and wider environment influence your wellbeing.
You might be balancing work, study, and the demands of everyday life while quietly carrying the impact of trauma, anxiety, OCD, ADHD, or recurring relationship patterns.
You may also be living with a long-term physical health condition such as chronic pain, chronic fatigue, alopecia, or vaginismus, where the emotional impact can feel just as challenging as the physical symptoms.
Together, we will look beyond the symptoms to understand the experiences and patterns shaping your thoughts, emotions, body, and relationships, creating the foundation for meaningful and lasting change.
Practice-based tools I draw on
I believe that talking therapy alone is not always enough. Discussing why you feel the way you do is important, but lasting change often comes from experiencing that understanding emotionally and physically as well.
That’s why, alongside evidence-based therapeutic approaches, I integrate practical techniques that support both the mind and the body and can transform the way you interact with your environment.
-
Breathwork
Using the breath to regulate your nervous system, reduce overwhelm, and help you feel more grounded.
-
Meditation
Cultivating present-moment awareness to help you respond to life's challenges with greater calm, clarity, and choice.
-
Emotion-focused
Learning to recognise, understand, and process emotions rather than avoiding or becoming overwhelmed by them.
-
Inner child work
Compassionately exploring how early experiences may continue to influence your beliefs, relationships, and emotional responses today.
-
Grounding
Using practical techniques such as journalling, imagery, and stabilisation exercises to create a greater sense of safety, balance, and emotional regulation.
-
Body awareness
Learning to notice and understand the physical sensations of your body, recognise emotions, regulate your nervous system, and reconnect with yourself.

How sessions work
Sessions are 50 minutes and are available online, or in person in Moseley, Birmingham. I’m not currently offering in-person sessions in London, but I do work with London-based clients online.
Most people begin with weekly sessions to build continuity and momentum, but we’ll find a rhythm that works for you. Once you’ve booked, I’ll send you everything you need before we begin, including a short questionnaire and counselling agreement.
Some questions you may have…
-
I support adults experiencing a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, trauma, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, burnout, stress, depression, and life transitions.
If you're unsure whether I can help with your particular concern, please feel free to get in touch.

Many of my clients have had therapy in the past but felt that something was still missing. They often tell me they gained insight into why they felt the way they did, yet found themselves repeating the same patterns.
Understanding ourselves is an important part of the healing process, but insight alone doesn't always lead to lasting change. Sometimes we also need to work with our emotions, our nervous system, our body, and the environments we live in.
That's why I take an integrative approach to therapy. Rather than relying on conversation alone, I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies alongside practical techniques that help you reconnect with your body, regulate your nervous system, and translate insight into meaningful, lasting change.
We'll also explore what has and hasn't been helpful in your previous therapy, so we can build on those experiences and find an approach that feels right for you.
-
Integrative therapy means I don't rely on a single therapeutic model. Instead, I tailor therapy to your individual needs by drawing on a range of evidence-based approaches and practice based tools.
I believe that lasting change comes from understanding the connection between your mind, body, and environment. Alongside therapies such as CBT, EMDR, and psychodynamic, I may incorporate practices like mindfulness, EFT, breathwork, grounding, or body awareness when they are appropriate.
Together, these approaches help move beyond insight alone, supporting meaningful and lasting change.

Finding the right therapist is important. Therapy works best when you feel safe, understood, and able to build a trusting relationship with the person you're working with.
If you're unsure whether I'm the right fit, you're very welcome to book an introduction call where we can explore your needs and answer any questions you may have.
-
This varies from person to person. Some people come with a specific issue they'd like support with over a relatively short period, while others choose longer-term therapy to explore deeper patterns and create lasting change.
We'll regularly review your progress together so that therapy continues to meet your needs.
-
Not necessarily.
Many clients begin with weekly sessions, as this provides consistency, helps build a strong therapeutic relationship, and maintains momentum between appointments. As therapy progresses, we may decide together to move to fortnightly or monthly sessions, depending on your needs, goals, and circumstances.
If you choose to have sessions less frequently, it's helpful to be able to continue reflecting on and practising what we've explored between appointments. For some people this works very well, while for others longer gaps can make it more difficult to maintain momentum, meaning therapy may take longer to achieve the same outcomes.
We'll discuss together what feels both realistic and clinically appropriate, so that therapy is effective while fitting around your life.
-
No. You're welcome to book a single session if you'd like to explore whether we're a good fit.
Many clients, however, choose one of my therapy packages as this provides greater continuity and allows us to build momentum together. We can discuss what feels right for you during your initial appointment.
-
Individual therapy sessions last 50 minutes. This allows enough time to explore what's important while also leaving space to reflect and bring the session to a thoughtful close.
-
Once you've booked your first appointment, you'll receive a confirmation email along with the information you'll need before we meet.
Closer to your appointment, you will receive a short intake questionnaire and a counselling agreement to sign.
Our first session is an opportunity to explore what has brought you to therapy, understand what you'd like to achieve, and consider how we might work together.
-
Yes. I work with clients both online and in person. Online sessions are held securely via video call and can be just as effective as face-to-face therapy for many people.

Yes. If you need to change an appointment, please provide at least 72 hours' notice. Sessions cancelled with less than 72 hours' notice are charged in full, except in exceptional circumstances.
-
I have a limited number of appointments available for clients using private health insurance, so I am not always able to accept new insurance referrals.
If I don't currently have availability for insurance-funded therapy, you are welcome to book sessions on a self-funding basis. If you're unsure, please feel free to get in touch and I'll be happy to let you know my current availability.
